ABOUT US

Steppa Boats in Phuket is a long-standing limited Thai partnership between Tony Green, Suda Promdem and Bill O'Leary.
Tony originally from the UK, met Bill in Queensland Australia in 1984 when they both worked in the marine tourism industry on Hamilton Island.
Tony founded H20 Sportz Scuba Diving company and Bill, a professional USL code mariner captained fast ferries and tour-boats to the Islands and Great Barrier Reef.
Both ended up in Phuket and have been involved in developing the fledgling commercial marine-tourism industry in Thailand since 1987.
Teaming up with local businesswoman Suda Promdem they began designing, building and operating a charter fleet of fiberglass vessels for their own Scuba diving and speedboat day-cruise operations.
Building safe performance vessels within a strict budget is their mandate
With each new hand-laid fiberglass hull produced; they incorporated new design features born of experience gained during thousands of days chartering to divers, game-fishermen, day-trippers and luxury hotel guests in the Andaman Sea.
More than any other work-boat design in Asia, STEPPA BOATS research and development tests are done at sea.

STEPPA CAT 3500 - AN AMAZING COMPOSITE PERFORMER
What these corporate clients and a multitude of private pleasure boat owners understand is that the best-value most functional vessels come direct from professional mariners, who themselves build, operate, test and continue to improve their hand-built products.
Tony, Suda and Bill build safe, low-initial-capital-outlay, simple to operate, low-ongoing maintenance, versatile yet robust boats for commercial and private use.
Together they ensure that every STEPPA buyer is delivered a safe, quality, bulletproof custom-built vessel at a fraction of the cost of big-name production options of the same length.
Clients and owner's reps are invited to enjoy the building process at every stage in the factory.
Steppa Boats build all vessels to pass the Thailand Marine Safety Code standard.
STEPPA BOATS monohull fiberglass designs range from 7 meter center-console T-tops right up to 12-meter flybridge cabin-cruisers.
The new 11-meter composite "STEPPA-CAT 3500" Catamaran designs are proving popular for luxury hotel operators with higher budgets for purchasing safe, super-fast vessels of outstanding quality, versatility and uncompromising durability.
All "STEPPA BOATS" are hand-laid by a long-serving and loyal professional team of Thai boat-builders in Phuket at our factory off the bypass road near the Tesco Lotus in town.
